Freelance Graphic Designer

With a love and passion for live music, I have had the honor to work with clients to advertise and market concert events. Using my unique illustration style paired with the artists' or venue's needs, I have created intriguing event flyers/posters which have resulted in completely sold-out shows with over 100 attendees per show! I was hired to design an event poster for coworkers to come together and perform at Crossroads, a music venue and bar. Playing off of the typical 9-5 job, I titled the event "Off The Clock" to capture the exciting environment outside the workplace. I tested different layouts, colors, and fonts to ensure the poster was clear and engaging.

In addition to designing two posters, I took everyone's favorite elements of both posters and printed them into stickers. Sold before, during, and after the show to market the event and the venue. Over 200 stickers were sold!

Design Process

Below are images of my design process, from sketches to rough drafts, these mock-ups showcase my experimentation with color, design, typography, and layout.

Stew Music

Below is a concert poster designed for Stew, Indie Musician, who played at JR's Pub in Woodbridge, NJ. Using graffiti-like ilustration I conveyed the ambiance of both Stew's music and the venue to attract a younger audience. This poster was designed and illustrated by Nat Ocello and photographed by Emma Wilde, with permission to use.

Design Process

In my first draft I took inspiration from the original photograph, with the colors being muted. I quickly realized that this was not going to capture the energetic music Stew would play at his concert, therefore I used vibrant colors and kept the paper texture to represent the rough edges showcased through his music.
