Storefront Artist
This business has a special place in my heart, as it was my first client as a freelancer! After being commissioned to produce hand-painted signs for this sandwich shop, I have become a frequent customer! I had full creative freedom for this project. Below is the signage work I completed for this sandwich shop, using my knowledge in design, color theory, and typography to enhance and unify the store's aesthetic.

Signage Project
Using Acrylic Paint, Posca Pens, Poster Boards, and Card Stock Paper, I added an inviting element to this shop. Collaborating with the owner, he presented his obstacle of customers being confused about the pricing of the sides, drinks, and chips. I offered the solution of creating captivating and easy-to-read signs that will not only inform them, but encourage them to buy a little extra to go with their food. The signs were put up in early March and sales have increased by 20%!
Sign Making Process
Below are a few images of my sign-making process. I used a triadic color scheme, with the interior store colors in mind. With green walls, I knew Red should be the primary complementary color and blue would be secondary. I then used black or white for typeface treatments. To maintain a sense of cohesiveness around the store, I inverted the color pallets to add an interesting variation for each section of the signs. For example, all drink signs had red lettering with blue shadows, while side signage had blue lettering and red shadows.
Social Media Marketing
In addition to creating signs, I filmed and edited Instagram Reels to advertise this hidden gem in Hoboken. Click the videos below to view my Mr. Wrap's Series on my Instagram! These videos also showcase my process of making the signs.
